In 1989, Rachel and Guy Achache created 'Abaco' handbags. Rachel is a trained make-up artist, who brought her finely nuanced sense of color to her unique handbag and accessory designs. Using buttery soft, vegetable dyed lambskin, Rachel has created an uniquely French handbag and accessory line that includes wallets and make-up bags. The design of purses reflects its origins in the chic, edgy Rive Gauche neighborhood of St. Germaine des Pres, Paris. Abaco is well-known for unique shoulder bags, roomy tote bags, comfortable cross-body messenger bags, as well as, versatile clutches. All of Abaco handbags and accessories are designed and produced in France. Her husband, Guy has helped her turn this business into an international sensation.
